Arturo Padilla nació en Juchipila, un pequeño pueblo en el estado de Zacatecas, México, donde creció entre caballos, vaqueros, ganaderos y hermosos paisajes. Comenzó a pintar a la temprana edad de 10 años inspirado por su entorno y las imágenes de la casa de su infancia. Padilla se mudó a Los Ángeles a los 17 años, donde continuó perfeccionando sus habilidades artísticas pintando junto a un grupo de artistas de renombre, incluidos Lalo García y Frank Martínez. Las pinturas de Padilla capturan la belleza del Salvaje Oeste y exploran temas de vaqueros, ganaderos y nativos americanos. Su tutoría con Mark Maggiori le ha permitido continuar expandiendo su talento innato y su sentido del realismo en sus pinturas del mundo occidental contemporáneo y sus paisajes.
Mi objetivo como artista no es reproducir la realidad, sino recrear la realidad que aún existe en este mundo. Para mi la pintura es la única forma de poder expresar al mundo los momentos que a veces se olvidan con el tiempo, que el mundo que nos rodea sigue siendo hermoso, solo es cuestión de detenerse y verlo.
Mi objetivo como artista no es reproducir la realidad, sino recrear la realidad que aún existe en este mundo. Para mi la pintura es la única forma de poder expresar al mundo los momentos que a veces se olvidan con el tiempo, que el mundo que nos rodea sigue siendo hermoso, solo es cuestión de detenerse y verlo.
Arturo Padilla was Born in Juchipila, a small town in the state of Zacatecas, Mexico, where he grew up among horses, cowboys, ranchers, and beautiful landscapes. He started painting at the young age of 10 years old inspired by his surroundings and the images of his childhood home. Padilla moved to Los Angeles at the age 17, where he continued to hone his artistic skills by painting alongside a group of renowned artists, including Lalo Garcia and Frank Martinez. Padilla’s paintings capture the beauty of the Wild West, and explore cowboys, ranchers, and Native American themes. His mentorship with Mark Maggiori has allowed him to continue expanding his innate talent and sense of realism in his paintings of the contemporary western world and its landscapes.
My goal as an artist is not to reproduce reality, but to recreate the reality that still exists in this world. For me, painting is the only way to be able to express to the world the moments that are sometimes forgotten over time, that the world that surrounds us is still beautiful, it’s just a matter of stopping and seeing it.
